Kiwi electro-rock star Ladyhawke has announced a UK tour in support of her forthcoming second album Anxiety.

The new LP is released on March 19 on Island, and will be preceded by single ‘Black, White And Blue’, out on February 20, and which you can listen to below (aren’t we good to you?)

Pip Brown has revealed that Anxiety will be “a lot more rocky” than its predecessor, adding: “The tone of it is definitely darker. It’s still poppy and fun, but I listened to a lot of guitar rock when I was writing it, stuff like Pixies, Blur, Nirvana, and I’ve always wanted to make a guitar record.

“There’s no synth, but there’s some organ. It’s more of a straight-up rock record.”

Brown will be hitting the road to showcase her new tunes throughout April and May – tickets go on sale tomorrow (January 27) at 9am, and the full dates are below:

April 23 – Brighton Komedia
April 25 – Gloucester Guildhall
April 27 – Oxford Academy
April 28 – Nottingham Rescue Rooms
April 30 – Edinburgh Liquid Rooms
May 1 – Gateshead Sage
May 2 – Manchester Ruby Lounge
May 4 – Sheffield Leadmill
May 6 – Birmingham Glee Club
May 8 – Norwich Waterfront
May 9 – Cambridge Junction
May 11 – London Shepherds Bush Empire
