Sacramento singer/songwriter Sea Of Bees has announced the release of her second album.
Orangefarben – German for ‘the colour orange’ – is a break-up record, but isn’t as maudlin as that might suggest, being as inspired by the wonder of love as by its eventual demise. The eleven tracks contain a cockle-warming cover of John Denver‘s ‘Leaving On A Jet Plane’, and are played mainly by Julie Ann Baenziger herself.
Orangefarben is released on April 9 on Heavenly, preceded by lead single ‘Broke’ on April 2, which you can listen to below.
Baenziger is also embarking on a UK and Irish tour to support the record in April – tickets are currently on sale, and the tour dates are below:
April 10 – Oxford Old Boot Factory
April 11 – Leeds Cockpit
April 12 – Glasgow King Tuts
April 13 – Belfast Auntie Annies
April 14 – Dublin Academy 2
April 16 – Manchester Deaf Institute
April 17 – Birmingham Hare & Hound
April 18 – Brighton Haunt
April 19 – London Hoxton Bar & Kitchen
