Review | Bleech

Bleech, ‘Adrenaline Junkie’, Billie Records

‘Adrenaline Junkie’ is the first single released from the debut album of fantastic three piece London based band Bleech, who consist of lead singer and guitarist Jen, bass player Katherine and drummer Matt. Formely known as Slummin Angels, the band have already gained a large fan base through their regular fantastic live shows across the country including supporting Pete Doherty. The band have previously released two E.P’s, Deadhead and Is It True That Boys Don’t Cry? and have bagged positive reviews from the likes of the ‘NME’ and ‘The Fly’.

Bleech are a great mix of grunge and indie, which is showcased nicely in ‘Adrenaline Junkie’, a delicate indie anthem which has an uplifting catchy chorus and is reminiscent of nineties Brit Pop and shoegaze bands such as Lush and Elastica. The song has a dreamy and summery feel to it and a suitably seasonal video to go with it. If anyone that hasn’t heard their music yet, this song is a great introduction.

The bands debut album Nude was released this week through the label Bille Records andy you can catch them at The Borderline in London on the 22nd June.┬áCheck out the video to the song below, we’d love to know what you think of this up and coming band.
