Dear Reader has unveiled the rather stunning new video for her new track ‘Down Under, Mining’.

The clip to the tune, itself a rather touching tale of slavery in apartheid-ridden South Africa, sees the song’s themes played out by a host of shadow puppets, painstakingly handmade by Berlin artist Barbara Steinitz. It’s captivating, poignant and we rather love it – watch the video for ‘Down Under, Mining’ below:

‘Down Under, Mining’ is taken from Dear Reader’s new album Rivonia, due out through City Slang on April 8.
