Folky multi-instrumentalist Nancy Elizabeth has revealed a new single and a slew of UK tour dates.
‘Simon Says Dance’ is taken from her third album Dancing – well, sort of, as the single version of the song adds drums and a bassline to the more sedate, piano-led track contained on the LP. Elizabeth says herself of the tune: “‘Simon Says Dance’ was an accidental song. I was messing around with that piano line in the middle of the night, after I’d been out dancing the night before.
“The rhythmic version didn’t seem to make sense in the context of the album, but I didn’t want to lose either version, so I decided to release both!”
