As we’ve previously detailed in these pages, the inimitable Yoko Ono is curating this year’s Meltdown festival – and, joy of joys, it’s almost time to welcome the legend and her comrades to London town.
There’s a ton of things going on from tomorrow (June 14), including performances from Patti Smith, Marianne Faithfull, Peaches, Siouxsie, Julianna Barwick and Ono herself, to name but a few – and, rather excitingly, a performance from Kim Gordon‘s new project Body/Head, a collaboration with Bill Nace.
The band’s performance at Meltdown on June 20 also promises to be extra special, as it sees No Wave innovator Ikue Mori join the pair for her first live drumming performance in 25 years.
So, if like us, that all has your mouth watering, then please read on, as you might not have to pay out a penny to see them if you emerge victorious in our competition… That’s right – we have a pair of tickets to give away for Body/Head’s performance at Meltdown, and you can possibly snap them up if you give the correct answer to this:
Not including Body/Head, give us the name of one of Kim Gordon’s past or present bands.
Simple, right? To enter, please email your answer, along with your name and contact telephone number, to firstname.lastname@example.org by 9am on Tuesday June 18, and we’ll pick a winner at random for the show on June 20. Please note, however, that unfortunately we’re unable to provide transport to or from the gig, or accommodation in London. Good luck!
