Who would make your greatest musical collaborations of all time? Jay Brown and Oh Sister go head to head to pull theirs together for the ultimate mixtape.

With the news that South London songstress Jay Brown and blissful indie troupe, Oh Sister will be joining forces to come to a living room near you, we asked the pairing to pull together a mixtape of some of the best pop hook ups all of time.

From pop deities Streisand and Summer to 90s greats, East 17 and Gabrielle, take a listen to the touring chums’, unquestionably brilliant, choices below.

East 17 & Gabrielle, ‘If You Ever’

“At a time when I was most probably obsessed with metal and emo type music I definitely was a sucker for a good ol’ 90s pop songs. When this came out, I had it on repeat and know every word!” (Jay Brown)

Jeff Buckley & Elizabeth Fraser, ‘All Flowers in Time’

“I worship the freedom in their interpretation. It goes in all different directions with so many emotions, it’s like hearing Beethoven for the first time after three hours of Bach. And then Jeff Buckley and Elizabeth Fraser (Massive Attack) – two of the most beautiful voices.. I’m in love with music again!” (Val, cello/backing vocals, Jay Brown)

Donna Summers & Barbara Streisand, ‘No More Tears’

“I chose Summers and Streisand because they’re incredible vocalists -the song is a disco dream. The artwork is beautiful and there’s an 8 minute extended version which starts with the line: ‘It’s raining, it’s pouring, my love life is boring’. Genius!” (Sarah, Oh Sister)

Stevie Nicks & Tom Petty, ‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart…’

‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around’ was on Nicks’ first solo album and was her first departure from Fleetwood Mac. She kills on the vocal delivery as always. Tom Petty is a magical songwriter and this video  has the most glorious lip syncing I’ve ever seen'” (Sophie, Oh Sister)
