Taylor Swift has donated $250,000 to Kesha following court ruling.
Swift reportedly donated the funds to “help with the financial needs” of the singer and songwriter, whose attempt to escape a recording contract with Sony’s Dr Luke was denied by a judge on Friday in New York. The donation was later confirmed by Kesha’s mother on Twitter:

Kesha filed a lawsuit against producer Dr Luke and alleges that he abused and sexually assaulted her over a period of ten years, which started shortly after she first signed to his Kemosabe Records imprint at the age of 18.
She wants to be freed from the terms of her contract so that she no longer has to work alongside her alleged abuser but the judge said that Dr Luke’s $60 million investment in Kesha’s career “decimates your argument,” adding, “My instinct is to do the commercially reasonable thing.”
The case has since sent shockwaves across the music blogosphere, and support for Kesha has come flowing in from fellow artists and celebrities, many of whom are using the #FreeKesha hashtag on social media. Lady Gaga, Lorde, Fiona Apple, Grimes and Ariana Grande, to name a few, have all expressed their sympathy for Kesha.
There are people all over the world who love you @KeshaRose. And I can say truly I am in awe of your bravery.
