Lilting London based artist, Lail Arad exclusively premieres latest single, ‘Chicks’ as she gears up for her longest UK tour yet.
A firm favourite with TGA, Arad released her full length, The Onion – all layers of loss and love – earlier this year and her newest material to date is a plucky pop number continuing that theme. Recorded this summer in NYC with Eric Hoegemeyer (who has worked with the likes of Patti Smith) ‘Chicks’ elegantly tackles the ever swaying hand of a looming biological clock, and an unsung cluck.
Just back from a two week long Italy tour, the track comes out on Friday ahead of Arad and her musicians taking to the road again (on English shores this time) for their longest UK tour yet.
Fittingly to the female theme, the slew of dates have been supported by PRS Foundation‘s Women Make Music fund and the support slots are brimming with similarly bright beacons in music. Minimal melancholy, Oh Sister joins the the line up at Servant Jazz Quarters’ opening show and art punkers, The Graphites round off the bill for the final London date on Nov 15th.
