London trio Girl Ray have shared the Alex Cantouris-directed video for ‘Preacher’.
The ‘Preacher’ visuals are the sequel to Nettles of the Parish, which served as the music video for previous single ‘Stupid Things’.
Girl Ray’s debut LP, Earl Grey, will be released August 4 via Moshi Moshi records. The three-piece will headline a sold out show at the Lexington in London next Tuesday May 23.
They are also set to support Whitney in June, before a string of festival dates at The Great Escape, Glastonbury, Green Man and End Of The Road festivals. Their biggest headline show to date will take place at London’s Scala on November 9.
Speaking of their ‘Preacher’ video, Girl Ray’s Iris McConnell says: “It follows the story of a lowly servant (played by professional actor Michael O’ Malley) who succumbs to his deepest desires, losing everything in the process. Get out ur Kleenex! We didn’t intend for it to be this moving, our apologies. Nettles of the Parish 2 also stars heartthrob Alex Parish, who some of you may remember, and Dame Jane Hankin.”
